OUR FOUNDER
Meet Daria Dana
Zigleys is born from Daria’s vision for high-end design, blended with her deep love for natural hair, and African culture. As a first-generation Jamaican growing up in a notoriously racist town with only two Black girls, Daria’s journey to self-love was challenging yet profoundly beautiful.
The company’s name, 'Zigleys,' is a tribute to her father, who affectionately called her 'Zigley' from a young age. He always reminded her that her natural hair was beautiful and perfect—regardless of what anyone else said. Each piece she creates is a celebration of her father’s love, her African heritage, and the strength and beauty of the Black community.
